Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees C.
In a small bowl, combine ground flaxseeds with 2.5 tbsp of water. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, salt.
In a stand mixer, cream oil, brown sugar, molasses, vanilla extract, zested ginger, and flax egg.
Roll 1-2 tablespoon sized balls of dough and cover with white sugar.
Place on parchment paper or silicone lined baking sheet.
Bake for 11 minutes.
Allow to cool, and enjoy!
